Rocky Mountain National Park (Colorado) Pics

2 Weekends ago on Saturday the 1st of November we got to spend the weekend gallivanting around Colorado to see the sites as we had a break from the training. Cheryl had seen and heard Estes Park was the place to go -- so, we went....we enjoyed hiking (OK, Enjoyed is a relative term when your trying to push a stroller loaded down with Preston (22.5 pounds), Jackets, Food, and other ancillary items like Diaper bags, etc....up hiking trails not designed for strollers.....Lets just say it was a workout -- BUT FUN....

Although we did not stay long we managed a few pics of Alberta Falls we hiked too as well as the valley area where the Elk were gathered and bugeling still...It was a lot of fun and the Girls loved it....

Sunday proved a little more sightseeing -- this time to Colorado Springs and the Cheyenne Mountain Park Zoo -- The only zoo built entirely on the side of a mountain. It was a blast and only took 1 & 1/2 hours to get through the whole thing. I believe that the girls and I had the most fun feeding the Giraffe's their special crackers (which we just like Triscuits -- and yes I took a bite of one to taste myself -- yea I know I am wacko!!!) but I think Cheryl and Preston had the most fun at the Gorilla exhibit --- check out the photo below.....

Colorado was a beautiful state and we cannot wait to spend more time there given the opportunity....
