OK, the slacking is over.....

Alright -- I understand that I made a commitment to post every 2 weeks or so and the last post was October 16th. I realize this is blatant neglect and a complete lack of commitment on my part. Ok, well now that I have said it, I am blogging once again thanks to a little reminder from my good friend Wendy @ Food for the Hungry. Thanks Wendy.

Well, lots has taken place since the end of October, too much to go into here on this blog entry, but well that's just the way it is going to be.

Our Christmas holiday was quite enjoyable even though it was packed with people, sickness, and non stop entertaining. It all started when Pops (my father)came in for the weekend prior to Christmas for a visit after he spent a week back east with all the other Phillips's (can I get away with that spelling - or should it be Phillipses?) on the east coast. I picked him and Cheryl's sister (Ms. Danny Devoe esq. - from Lonk Island (lol)) up from the Airport. Both came in on the Friday morning about 1 hour apart at the airport. This was great I could get both within about the same time, only downside was I missed seeing my kids at my work office open some gifts from the Santa Clause we do every year for the employees kids. Oh well, I heard it was enjoyable.

Unfortunately from the east with my father came the flu bug. It started with him for the 2 days he was here and then made its way to Payton, then Natalie, and back to Payton again for almost 10 days straight . Needless to say Cheryl got tired of cleaning and disinfecting the house every day it seemed so it would not continue to spread.

All in All Christmas was wonderful as always we sat next to the fire on Christmas Eve and read the girls Christmas stories and then prepared the reindeer food and Santa's cookies. They love that part....So does Santa...
Cheryl's other sisters from Lake Havasu and the west side of Phoenix also joined us for dinner that day and it was very nice for all the sisters to be together again. I on the other hand had to take some extra ibuprofen to combat the extreme amount of screaming, crying and just noice of sisters and there 7 kids (6 girls and 1 boy) all enjoying being together.

New Years was much less eventful -- we really needed the downtime - so we just had one couple over with their kids to our home for the evening. We had some good food, and a lot of good fellowship while just chatting outside in the spa while the kids dominated the TV with all their movies to get them through until Midnight. What Fun!!!!

Now reality is about to set back in again and the schedules will get a little crazier for another 60 days or so until our Disney Reprieve in March. The girls are still completely excited about the trip and Cheryl and I cannot wait for it either. School, AWANA, and Small Group all start back up again this next week and we will be back at full capacity.

God is working in some awesome ways in our lives right now and we will disclose more as time and circumstances get more evident and solid as the months progress. We pray all of you also had a wonderful Christmas and New year and that you find yourself right in that "Sweet Spot" where God wants you in 2007.

Psalm 136: 1-3
"Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever."
"Oh, give thanks to the God of Gods! For His mercy endures forever."
"Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever."
