Fun with Pop Pop

Labor Day Weekend was a fun and festive time as my father flew in from Las Vegas to spend the weekend with us and the kids. They sure love it when he comes in to spend time. You can see by the pictures they laugh and goof a lot and even a little "Hop on Pop" as Dr. Suess would say.

He came in late friday evening and stayed until monday evening. We spent some time playing basketball with the kids, taking the dogs to the dog park, eating out, nursery duty at church, and of course the pool. The girls showed Pop Pop how to play "noodle baseball" - our new family pool game, and horsed around the pool a lot this weekend since the weather was very nice.

Time flies when you having fun and fun is definitely what we had (can you tell from the picture here).
Hopefully Pop Pop will visit again in December when he comes down to visit the Bondurant Kart Racing school to solidify his kart racing skills and race around the track for a few days. That will be a good time and the kids will enjoy the time as always. We appreciate Pop Pop and his visits from year to year as it is so difficult for us to go and bring an clan of 5 to invade someones house or hotel for a few days.
Back to work now and on with normal life again. Our small group is once again underway and we are studying the life of the Apostle Paul. I am also trying to study and finish my work for the FH advocacy training. Pray I will have protected time and also be able to get all my other duties accomplished. We are also 1/2 way through our foster/adopt certification as well, only 5 classes left to go. We know God has a plan for us in this and even though it seems Zackery will not be with us more than likely we know God's will is better for all. It will be hard to detach, but Gods grace is sufficient for us and our issues. Love to you all and more next week after we all catch up from a long weekend.
Blessings,
The Phillips.
