GO WORLD !!!!

2008 Olympic Games (GO POLAND & USA)

Our traditional (every 2 years) Olympic celebration went off without a hitch again this year. Our bestest friends the Sivleys arrived @ 6:15ish or so and the party started.

As you can see the spread was amazing: Teriyaki Chicken with Rice, Lettuce Wraps, Olympic Themed cookie circles with fruit topping, festive flags, Team shirts, etc,etc,etc.....Darren and I as well as our kids are so very blessed to have such AWESOME WIVES who came up with all this stuff....Cheryl even came up with name place cards with everyones names in Chinese and with a China fact sheet and word puzzle for the kids to enjoy during dinner.

After dinner, we geared up for some competition....

1st off - Family individual Medley in the Pool...

Preston and Jackson cheered on the sidelines..........................................

as Payton and Brooklyn lept off the starting blocks and into the pool, followed by Natalie & Jillian, then Alexxis & Grant, Cheryl & Sara, then finally Gabe & Darren....This was a very close race but in the end TEAM POLAND edged out TEAM USA to take the Gold Medal!!!!!

The next (and unfortunatley due to light and time restrictions - the final event) was Noodle Baseball where play lasted all of 2 1/2 innings before the game was called on account of a Homerun ball being hit out of the pool, park, and yard......TEAM USA won the match 3-1 and thereby took the Gold Medal!!!!!

We ended the evening watching the parade of nations, cheering for our favorite teams and had a great and wonderful time in fellowship as friends. Praise the Lord for such great friends!!

We ask you to join us in Prayer and Intersession for the residents of South Ossetia, Georgia where War has broken out and people, and their lives are being turned upside down.

Sorry to disagree, but the IM was no where near close. Team Poland had us at "Hello." :) Seriously, you ought to pursue professional swimming as a family.
